Senior Director, Enterprise Execution

About the role

EQB, a Canadian bank serving nearly 4 million customers, is looking for a Senior Director, Enterprise Execution in Toronto. The role translates strategic priorities into business outcomes, leading a focused portfolio of the Bank's most important enterprise initiatives and strategic priorities. It sits between strategy, execution and outcomes, combining strategy execution, enterprise leadership, organizational effectiveness and executive problem-solving.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of the Bank's highest-priority enterprise initiatives, including CEO- and CFO-sponsored programs, and act as a trusted advisor to executive sponsors
• Shape implementation approaches, execution strategies, operating models and delivery plans, and resolve risks, dependencies and organizational barriers
• Turn approved business cases into measurable business, customer, operational and financial outcomes, and run initiative reviews and post-implementation assessments
• Lead the annual enterprise initiative prioritization process, working with business leaders, Finance and Strategy on sequencing, trade-offs and resource allocation
• Improve the quality, consistency and strategic coherence of materials presented to the Executive Leadership Team and the Board, and support major strategic planning sessions

Required profile

• 8-10 years of experience in strategy consulting, corporate strategy, enterprise execution, strategic initiatives, business transformation, operating leadership or related fields
• Track record leading complex cross-functional initiatives with measurable outcomes, partnering with executive leadership in matrixed organizations
• Commercial, financial and operational acumen, and proven ability to drive alignment and results without direct authority
• Preferred: private equity value creation or top-tier consulting background, financial services or banking experience, and an MBA or equivalent graduate degree
