Senior DevOps Engineer – Contract (Brampton, ON)

About the role

We are seeking a senior DevOps Engineer to join our team on a contract basis, working three days per week on‑site in Brampton, ON. The role focuses on migrating pipelines from Azure DevOps to GitHub Actions and managing cloud infrastructure across Azure and other platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure on Azure and other platforms, ensuring cost‑effectiveness and reliability.
• Develop and manage infrastructure‑as‑code using tools such as Helm, YAML, and Azure Key Vault.
• Lead the migration of CI/CD pipelines from Azure DevOps to GitHub Actions over a 12‑month period.
• Create and support CI/CD pipelines with GitHub, Bitbucket, and related tools, integrating security scans, static code analysis, and vulnerability checks.
• Implement branching strategies, code‑review processes, and automated testing for infrastructure code.
• Troubleshoot production issues, optimise resource usage, and coordinate patching and updates.
• Document processes, configurations, and best practices, and mentor team members on DevOps best practices.

Required profile

• Self‑starter with the ability to work independently.
• Senior‑level experience in DevOps engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (preferred).

• Configuration management: Puppet, Chef, Ansible.
• Experience with Spring and React (nice to have).
