About the role
The Senior Commercial Underwriting Manager joins EQ Bank’s growing commercial team in Toronto. You will underwrite construction and conventional commercial mortgage loans, ensuring compliance with lending guidelines while delivering timely service.
Key responsibilities
- Analyze and underwrite commercial credit facilities ranging from $2.5 M to $50 M, ensuring all lending criteria are satisfied.
- Communicate with external origination partners and internal stakeholders to process transactions efficiently.
- Manage deal flow and meet prescribed deadlines through effective time management.
- Perform administrative and reporting duties required by senior management on a monthly basis.
Required profile
- Minimum 5 years of commercial mortgage underwriting experience.
- Post‑secondary education in business or finance preferred.
- Demonstrated service excellence and strong analytical/problem‑solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to handle multiple competing priorities and attend industry events as needed.
