Senior Back-End Developer - Backbase

About the role

Aequilibrium, a technology professional services company focused on digital products in financial services, is hiring a Senior Back-End Developer to integrate and extend the Backbase digital banking platform. This is a 100% remote full-time position for candidates based in the Americas; those outside Canada must work as independent contractors.

Required profile

• 2+ years of hands-on commercial experience integrating, extending or implementing the Backbase Digital Banking Platform in production environments.
• 5+ years of production-level experience with Java, Spring and Spring extensions such as Web MVC, Spring Boot and Spring Security.
• Experience with SOAP and RESTful web services, microservices architecture, unit testing with JUnit, and application servers such as Tomcat, WebSphere, WebLogic or JBoss.
• Strong grasp of Git, Subversion and other source control tools.
• Experience developing large-scale distributed systems, SaaS platforms or service-oriented architectures, and with cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, GCP, Docker or Kubernetes.
• Experience with security systems handling sensitive data, and in the financial services industry or professional services.
• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or a related field.
• Agile methodology (Scrum, Kanban), TDD and CI knowledge.
