Senior Android Engineer – Toronto

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Android Engineer to join Fiserv’s mobile team in downtown Toronto. The role focuses on building and enhancing the Payfare Android applications and integrating them with back‑end services and third‑party platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full application lifecycle from concept and design through testing, release and ongoing support.
• Develop new Android applications and add features to existing ones, ensuring clean, maintainable code.
• Implement secure mobile solutions and address any vulnerabilities identified by code scans or penetration tests.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers and other engineers to deliver a high‑quality user experience.
• Write comprehensive unit and end‑to‑end tests and maintain documentation and automation pipelines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience, with at least three years in a team‑based Android environment.
• Strong understanding of object‑oriented design principles and core computer‑science fundamentals.
• Proven ability to diagnose performance bottlenecks and optimise Android applications.
• Experience working closely with cross‑functional product teams.
