About the role
The Senior Analyst, AML FIU supports PC Financial’s fight against money laundering and terrorist financing. You will manage day‑to‑day AML/ATF operations, including name‑screening, transaction monitoring, adverse news monitoring, investigations, and regulatory reporting.
Key responsibilities
- Review name‑screening and transaction monitoring escalations from outsourced partners and ensure quality standards.
- Decide on escalations, including approvals by CAMLO or filing Suspicious Transaction Reports with FINTRAC.
- Manage the Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) process and timelines for all risk levels.
- Investigate and resolve sanctions, negative news, and PEP alerts.
- Ensure proper investigation and resolution of unusual and suspicious transactions.
- Conduct and document EDD and monitoring activities for higher‑risk customers.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of AML/ATF legislation, regulations, industry best practices, and criminal typologies.
- Assist the Manager, AML FIU in implementing the bank’s AML/ATF program to meet PCMLTFA, FINTRAC guidance, and other regulatory requirements.
Required profile
- Undergraduate degree, preferably in Business, Commerce or equivalent.
- 3‑5 years of AML/ATF operational experience at a Canadian financial institution.
- CAMS certification or enrollment in the CAMS program is an asset.
- Demonstrated background in Canadian AML/ATF compliance.
