Senior Accountant – Real Estate Development

About the role

The Senior Accountant at Three Wood Investments supports the financial operations of the company’s real‑estate development activities and related operating entities. This hands‑on position manages full‑cycle accounting, payroll, development cost tracking, reporting, and budgeting while ensuring the integrity of financial information across multiple legal entities.

Key responsibilities

• Perform full‑cycle accounting for several development and operating entities, including GL maintenance, AP, AR, bank reconciliations, and month‑end close.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, adjustments and monthly balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with ASPE.
• Maintain fixed‑asset registers, depreciation schedules and related documentation.
• Track and reconcile development, construction and capital‑project costs; support cost capitalization and project budgeting.
• Manage cash, inter‑company reconciliations, treasury activities and cash‑flow monitoring.
• Process weekly payroll through QuickBooks, prepare payroll journal entries and handle statutory remittances.
• Support annual budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis for development projects.

Required profile

• Experienced accounting professional with a strong background in real‑estate development or construction accounting.
• Senior‑level technical contributor comfortable with month‑end close, compliance and financial analysis.
• Detail‑oriented and able to work in a dynamic, growing environment.
