Accountant

About the role

Ubisoft’s Montreal studio is seeking a full‑time Accountant to join its Finance department. Reporting to the Chief Accountant, you will prepare financial statements for the Canadian studios and support month‑end closing activities.

Key responsibilities

• Record journal entries, expense reclassifications and accruals.
• Perform analyses and reconciliations on balance‑sheet and income‑statement items.
• Participate in month‑end closing and produce monthly, half‑yearly and annual financial statements.
• Support head‑office reporting using Hyperion Financial Management.
• Handle intercompany billing and reconciliation between local and parent‑company systems.
• Assist in preparation of audit documentation for half‑yearly and annual audits.
• Contribute to special projects and other tasks assigned by management.

Required profile

• Degree or certificate in accounting or equivalent.
• Minimum three years of experience in a similar accounting role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting concepts and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Experience working in a multi‑company environment and with international teams.
• Fluent in French.

Required skills

• Proficiency with large‑scale financial systems such as Peoplesoft, Oracle or SAP.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Knowledge of Hyperion Financial Management (HFM).
• Solid understanding of core accounting concepts.
