Senior Accountant – Multi‑Region Finance Lead

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to lead day‑to‑day accounting operations across North America and Europe. The role combines full‑cycle accounting, multi‑country payroll, tax compliance and public‑company financial reporting in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage full‑cycle accounting, including bank reconciliations, month‑end and quarter‑end journal entries, allocations, accruals and intercompany transactions in NetSuite.
• Prepare and maintain amortization schedules for prepaid and capital expenditures.
• Process payroll across multiple countries and platforms, and handle annual payroll reconciliations, T4/T4A filings and RRSP coordination for Canadian entities.
• Oversee AP/AR activities, vendor payments, contractor disbursements and partnership invoicing, ensuring proper revenue recognition in NetSuite.
• File and reconcile HST/GST, Ontario EHT and WSIB obligations, and monitor CRA correspondence.
• Produce accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports, supporting public‑company and board‑level reporting.
• Manage foreign‑currency exchange impacts and ensure compliance with international accounting standards.
• Liaise with external auditors, service providers and government agencies, and support audit documentation.
• Continuously improve accounting systems and processes, including insurance policy renewals and internal controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• CPA designation or equivalent professional qualification.
• Proven experience in multi‑country accounting, payroll and financial reporting.
• Strong knowledge of Canadian tax filings (HST/GST, EHT, WSIB, T4, T4A) and international compliance.
