Senior Accountant

About the role

We are looking for an adaptable, detail‑oriented Senior Accountant to join a fast‑paced finance team. In this position you will own P&L integrity, drive month‑end and quarter‑end closings, and provide senior leadership with actionable financial analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver timely financial reporting and deep‑dive P&L analysis for senior management.
• Prepare and post accurate journal entries, including accruals, reclassifications, and adjustments.
• Evaluate and improve accounting processes, implementing automated solutions to streamline workflows.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations across multi‑entity or high‑volume accounts.
• Manage HST tax remittance and ensure compliance with Canadian tax regulations.

Required profile

• 5+ years of full‑cycle accounting experience in a complex or fast‑moving environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA designation or pursuit is a strong asset.
• Strong analytical mindset, meticulous attention to detail, and confidence presenting insights to executive leadership.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros/Power Query).
• Experience with modern ERP systems.
• Proven ability to automate manual accounting processes.
• Deep understanding of accrual accounting, P&L management, and Canadian HST compliance.
