Senior Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a well‑rounded Senior Accountant to join a large corporation. The role is based on‑site five days a week and involves managing accounting systems, preparing financial information, and providing tax and business advice.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, set up and administer accounting systems for various internal and external stakeholders.
• Examine accounting records, prepare financial statements, projection reports and income‑tax returns.
• Develop and maintain cost‑finding, reporting and internal‑control procedures.
• Perform currency conversions, reconciliations and detailed financial analysis.
• Provide financial, business and tax advice based on analysis of statements and reports.
• Supervise and train articling students and junior accountants.
• Create ad‑hoc reports, prepare tax documents and assist in budgeting and forecasting.

Required profile

• Senior‑level accounting experience with a strong focus on financial reporting and tax preparation.
• CPA designation is considered an asset.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience with Jet Reports.
