Senior Accountant – Audit & Assurance

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Peterborough office, focusing on audit and assurance engagements. You will work with a dynamic team to deliver high‑quality financial services and support client growth.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare compilation, review, and audit engagements.
• Prepare corporate, personal, and trust income tax returns and related tax slips (T3, T4, T5, etc.).
• Lead audit field work, identify and resolve engagement issues, and keep managers informed of status.
• Support year‑end planning and develop strong technical audit, accounting, and tax skills.

Required profile

• University degree in commerce or accounting.
• Canadian professional accounting designation (CPA, CA) or CPA‑in‑waiting.
• 3+ years in a public accounting firm with at least two years of audit and assurance experience.
• Strong written and oral communication, problem‑solving, and analytical abilities.
