Staff Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join our team—a role where your expertise will drive meaningful outcomes and your ambition will help shape what comes next. Key responsibilities

• Perform junior‑level audit duties, reviewing journal entries, bank statements, inventories and tax returns.
• Assist in preparing financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Support compilation, review and audit engagements.
• Execute general accounting functions such as bank reconciliations, inventory observations and depreciation updates.
• Prepare corporate, personal and trust income tax returns and related tax slips (T3, T4, T5, etc.).
• Handle bookkeeping assignments and maintain accurate records.
• Develop and maintain positive client relationships while delivering high‑service standards.
• Manage multiple client requests efficiently and within deadlines.

Required profile

• Post‑secondary graduate in Commerce or Accounting.
• Currently pursuing CPA designation.
• Entry‑level technical knowledge of general ledger and account reconciliation.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship‑building skills.
• Detail‑oriented with a positive, can‑do attitude.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to research solutions and think critically.
