Senior Accountant – 3-Month Contract

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant for a three‑month contract to support our client’s finance team in the Greater Toronto Area. The role will involve treasury, FP&A and reporting activities, working closely with field teams and business units.

Key responsibilities

• Treasury (≈35%): update account and loan registers, upload documents to Contract Works, support insurance renewals, assist with bank account openings and KYC documentation, investigate banking matters.
• Financial Planning & Analysis (≈40%): compile monthly outlook data in Excel, consolidate flash reports, roll‑forward quarterly forecasts, prepare capex templates and verify capex submissions.
• Reporting (≈25%): refresh monthly subgroup packages, update entries in Cognos, support hold‑co bookkeeping and GL reconciliations, contribute to ad‑hoc accounting projects such as lease accounting.

Required profile

• Advanced Excel proficiency, including lookups, pivot tables, data analysis and handling large data sets.
• Experience in financial reporting and FP&A within an internal controls environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate with stakeholders across regions.
