Security Operations Center Analyst (SOC) – Cybersecurity

About the role

Systematix is seeking an experienced Security Operations Center Analyst to join a public‑sector client’s Cybersecurity and Risk Management Branch in Regina. You will work on a 12‑month contract, providing real‑time monitoring, incident response, and continuous improvement of security operations.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, analyze, and respond to cybersecurity incidents using ServiceNow.
• Investigate network security events across firewalls, IDS/IPS, web proxies, VPNs and related technologies.
• Perform network traffic analysis to identify indicators of compromise.
• Support firewall administration, network segmentation, VPN security, NAC and secure remote access.
• Review firewall rules, ACLs and overall security configurations.
• Participate in incident response, packet‑capture analysis and root‑cause investigations.
• Handle privileged access management (PAM) requests.
• Prepare operational reports, security metrics and incident documentation.
• Support phishing simulation campaigns and security‑awareness initiatives.

Required profile

• Enterprise‑level cybersecurity operations experience.
• Proven experience in security incident response.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar ITSM platforms.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
• Ability to work 100% onsite in Regina, Saskatchewan.
