SAP Fiori Back-End Developer

About the role

Air Liquide is seeking an SAP Fiori Back-End Developer to create, enhance and resolve issues in the OData services and APIs that power its Fiori applications in the SAP S/4HANA environment. The role focuses on writing modern ABAP code in the ABAP RAP framework and configuring the Fiori Launchpad; custom front-end Fiori (UI5) development is not required.

Key responsibilities

• Create and refine OData V2 and V4 services using ABAP RAP, and fix and optimise existing services in S/4HANA
• Develop back-end logic with OO ABAP (classes, interfaces) in ADT / Eclipse
• Integrate BAPIs, RFCs and function modules, and maintain older OData services built with the classic SAP Gateway (SEGW)
• Build or modify CDS views and apply Metadata Extensions to control data exposure and UI behaviour
• Use Key User Extensibility (Custom Fields and Logic) and Fiori UI Adaptation mode to extend standard Fiori apps without custom front-end code
• Manage Technical Catalogs, Business Catalogs, Spaces, Pages, target mappings and Fiori tiles
• Test APIs with Postman and SAP Gateway Client, write ABAP unit tests and optimise database performance with AMDP for SAP HANA
• Work with business analysts on data requirements and with front-end developers on API integration

Required profile

• Ideally 3 to 6 years of hands-on experience in standard SAP ABAP (OO ABAP, RFCs, function modules), including recent S/4HANA experience
• Effective communication with non-technical stakeholders and a proactive, team-oriented approach
