About the role
Bureau Veritas Canada is seeking a Sample Preparation Technician to join its Sample Preparation department in Vancouver. This general‑labour position involves preparing mineral samples for analysis while adhering to safety standards and company core values.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare geological samples by crushing, pulverizing or sieving according to Standard Operating Procedures.
- Process incoming samples in priority order, performing and documenting quality checks.
- Operate, clean and report maintenance needs for crushing and pulverizing equipment.
- Scan QC checks, record equipment usage and move samples to the next station.
- Comply with occupational health and safety legislation, BV policies and ISO standards.
Required profile
- Minimum high school diploma.
- Physical ability to lift up to 40 lb repeatedly and perform demanding tasks.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow SOPs accurately.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Open, inclusive mindset and willingness to work in a team.

What we offer
- Hourly wage starting at $20.51 CAD plus shift premiums.
- $500 CAD completion bonus upon meeting the specified end date.
