Sales Specialist - Roofing Building Supplies

About the role

Roofmart, Canada's national distributor for exterior building supplies for roofing, siding, metal and building envelope, is looking for enthusiastic, driven sales specialists to help grow its business. The role is based in Victoria and involves building relationships with customers and growing new business.

Key responsibilities

• Manage, support and build relationships with existing customers and develop new ones.
• Grow new business and expand market share by offering solutions to contractors, architects and customers and converting them away from competitor products.
• Define, build, implement and monitor the sales plan, including strategies, targets and priorities.
• Create action plans for sales targets and work with suppliers to execute them.
• Educate customers and staff on products and manage customer sample and educational stock levels.
• Manage customer payments and credit with credit managers, including collections, credit recommendations and AR adjustments within set rules.

Required profile

• College diploma or degree (Business/Sales/Marketing preferred) and/or 3+ years of successful roofing sales experience.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel.
• Authorized to work in Canada.

• Strong problem-solving ability, able to handle difficult situations.
