About the role
Canada Post is seeking reliable, organized individuals to work on an on‑call basis as Rural and Suburban Mail Carriers. You will deliver mail to various communities in Quebec, operating a personal vehicle under all weather and traffic conditions.
Key responsibilities
- Sort, collect and deliver mail items safely and on time.
- Maintain knowledge of local roads, customers and delivery receptacles.
- Process CPC products such as Change of Address notifications, damaged mail and Items Delivered Bill.
- Wear Canada Post identification visibly while delivering and collecting mail.
- Lift and carry items up to 50 lb (22.7 kg).
Profile sought
- Valid permanent provincial driver’s licence – class 5 or G.
- Clean safe‑driving record.
- Vehicle meeting Canada Post specifications (minimum 50 cu ft cargo capacity, automatic transmission, power windows, roof‑top sign and flashing light, appropriate door configuration).
- Ability to work independently and handle varying weather and traffic conditions.
Required skills
- Mail sorting and handling.
- Vehicle operation and safe driving.
- Knowledge of local delivery routes.
- Physical ability to lift and transport parcels up to 50 lb.
