About the role
The Faculty of Dentistry at UBC seeks an Assistant Storekeeper to manage inventory, procurement, and supply chain activities for the Nobel Biocare Oral Health Centre. This position ensures that clinical, teaching, and research operations have the necessary supplies and equipment while maintaining safety and cost‑effectiveness.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee daily store operations, including receiving, shipping, and inventory control.
- Coordinate procurement of clinical, laboratory, and research supplies in line with faculty policies and budgets.
- Process purchase requisitions in Workday for orders over $3,500 and track all orders through to delivery.
- Liaise with vendors, finance, and procurement teams to resolve discrepancies, delays, and contract matters.
- Maintain accurate records, reporting, and compliance with safety regulations.
- Provide guidance to students, staff, and faculty on ordering procedures and handling of regulated materials.
Required profile
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, students, and external suppliers.
- Understanding of university procurement policies and safety standards.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Workday for purchase requisition processing.
