Retail Store Manager

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Retail Store Manager to lead our liquor and wine store in Edmonton. The role involves overseeing daily operations, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving sales performance in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and control all daily store activities, including opening, closing, and cash handling.
• Plan, organize and evaluate store performance against sales targets and market trends.
• Recruit, hire, train and supervise a team of 3‑4 staff members, assigning duties and managing schedules.
• Analyze market research to determine product assortment, pricing and promotional strategies.
• Procure merchandise, manage inventory levels and resolve supply shortages.
• Handle customer inquiries, complaints and special requests while maintaining store security standards.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation (high school) certificate.
• 1–2 years of experience in retail or store management, preferably in a liquor or wine environment.
• Strong analytical mindset, goal‑oriented and able to work under pressure.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on client satisfaction.
• Ability to multitask, stay organized and maintain attention to detail in a fast‑paced setting.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat Reader.
• Experience using Microsoft Outlook for communication and scheduling.
