Retail Representative (Part Time) - Vernon, BC

About the role

Mars is hiring a part-time Retail Representative in Vernon, British Columbia, to sell, distribute and merchandise Mars Snacking products at retail outlets across an assigned territory. The position is based primarily in Vernon and surrounding towns, with 24 hours per week, Monday to Wednesday.

Key responsibilities

• Suggest order and selling presentation programs to customers and present and sell booking sheets to stores
• Maintain distribution of assigned products, sell new innovations and ensure promotional and seasonal compliance
• Keep shelves stocked, refill merchandising fixtures and work with customers to secure secondary display space
• Use POS for merchandising and pricing, rotate products on shelf and in the backroom to keep them fresh
• Collect accurate data with handheld technology and manage territory coverage according to the company's call-coverage model
• Keep the DSM up to date, maintain stock of merchandising supplies and POS materials, follow company policies and procedures for credits and samples
• Support special projects and other duties assigned by the Sales organization

Required profile

• High school graduate
• Experience in a customer-facing role
• Previous sales experience is an asset
• Valid driver's license
• Good communication and presentation skills
