Restaurant Manager – Japanese Cuisine

About the role

Yuzuki Japanese Restaurant is seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to lead daily operations in our vibrant Toronto location. You will be responsible for maintaining profitability, ensuring high‑quality service, and fostering a positive team environment.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and develop budgets for food, beverage, labor, and supplies.
• Adjust menu pricing and food preparation methods to meet budget targets.
• Monitor revenues, labor costs, and inventory levels.
• Recruit, schedule, train, and supervise a team of 11‑15 staff members.
• Enforce provincial liquor laws and health‑safety regulations.
• Negotiate with suppliers and handle catering client arrangements.
• Participate in marketing initiatives and address customer complaints.
• Maintain cash handling procedures, balance sheets, and financial reports.

Required profile

• College‑level certificate or diploma (1‑2 years) in a related field.
• 2‑3 years of experience managing a restaurant or similar hospitality operation.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and handle pressure.
