Guest Service Representative

About the role

The Guest Service Representative is the first point of contact for guests at the Courtyard by Marriott Toronto Downtown. You will manage check‑ins and check‑outs, handle reservations and provide accurate information about the property and local area.

Key responsibilities

• Organize and process guest check‑ins and check‑outs, reservations, cancellations and billing.
• Activate and file room keys, handle wake‑up calls and relay guest messages to appropriate departments.
• Maintain daily logs, run reports, complete cashier and closing reports, and manage the cash bank at the start and end of each shift.
• Provide guests with information about property amenities, local attractions and assist individuals with disabilities.
• Notify loss prevention/security of any theft reports and follow company policies regarding safety and confidentiality.

Required profile

• Ability to stand, sit or walk for extended periods and lift objects up to 10 lb.
• Strong attention to detail for accurate billing, reporting and record‑keeping.
• Professional appearance and clear, courteous communication skills.

Required skills

• Cash handling and basic accounting procedures.
• Use of hotel property management systems for reservations and billing.
