Restaurant Manager – East & South Indian Cuisine

About the role

We are seeking an energetic Restaurant Manager to lead our East and South Indian dining operations in Calgary. You will be responsible for delivering high‑quality food and service while maintaining profitability and a safe, welcoming environment for guests and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage budgets for food, beverages, kitchen supplies and cleaning materials.
• Evaluate daily operations and adjust menu pricing and preparation methods to meet budget targets.
• Monitor and coach staff performance, schedule shifts, recruit new team members and provide ongoing training.
• Organise inventory, negotiate with suppliers and ensure health‑and‑safety regulations are strictly followed.
• Participate in marketing initiatives, handle customer complaints, and oversee special events and kitchen operations.
• Supervise a team of 5‑10 employees, setting clear expectations and fostering a collaborative workplace.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of experience in restaurant or food‑service management.
• College‑level certificate or diploma (3 months to <1 year) or equivalent experience.
• Fluency in English plus Hindi and Punjabi is an asset.
• Strong client focus, reliability, excellent oral communication and the ability to multitask in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment.
• Comfortable with standing for extended periods and performing a mix of sitting, standing, walking and repetitive tasks.
