Restaurant Assistant Manager

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Assistant Manager to support daily operations at Spices Indian Restaurant in Fort McMurray. The role involves overseeing staff, ensuring service quality, and maintaining inventory in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate and plan daily restaurant operations, including scheduling and inventory management.
• Monitor staff performance, conduct training, and perform performance reviews.
• Recruit, schedule, and supervise a team of 5‑10 employees.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Negotiate with suppliers and clients for food, supplies, and catering services.
• Address customer complaints and provide high‑level customer service.
• Manage special events and coordinate facility use.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation or equivalent experience.
• 7 months to less than 1 year of relevant experience in restaurant or hospitality management.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.
• Willingness to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, nights, days, and weekends.
