Research Assistant Technician – Pediatric Otolaryngology

About the role

The University of British Columbia is seeking a Research Assistant Technician to support multiple pediatric otolaryngology clinical trials. You will work closely with faculty, hospital staff, and external vendors to ensure studies progress on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Support day‑to‑day clinical research activities across several studies.
• Create, submit, and monitor ethics applications for each project.
• Recruit eligible patients, obtain informed consent, and coordinate study visits.
• Design, build, and maintain a research database to track trial data and status.
• Assist in drafting, revising, and submitting grant applications and research proposals.
• Collaborate with the principal investigator and the pediatric otolaryngology team to meet study timelines and reporting deadlines.

Required profile

• Experience in clinical research coordination or a related field.
• Familiarity with ethics submission processes and patient recruitment.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Effective communication with clinicians, patients, and research staff.
