About the role
The Healthy Families Laboratory at the University of British Columbia is seeking a Research Assistant to lead administrative and research coordination for a multi‑disciplinary sleep equity project (2023‑2027). Working under Professor Lianne Tomfohr‑Madsen, you will help develop an intersectional framework to improve sleep health for Canadians.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate the Sleep Equity Reimagined project, including timelines, budgets, and stakeholder communication.
- Organise and facilitate priority‑setting workshops with individuals experiencing sleep inequities, including Indigenous communities.
- Conduct intersectional analyses of existing sleep datasets and integrate Indigenous health perspectives.
- Perform scoping reviews, identify research gaps, and support secondary analyses for future funding.
- Collaborate with co‑applicants, students, staff, and external partners across the CIHR Sleep Research Consortium.
Required profile
- Graduate‑level education in psychology, public health, or a related field.
- Experience in research coordination, data management, or community‑engaged projects.
- Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion, especially Indigenous perspectives.
