About the role

TMI CPA Inc. is seeking a remote Tax Preparer to join its full‑time team. The professional will work from any location, preparing tax returns for individuals and businesses while supporting the firm’s accounting and advisory services. The role combines technical tax work with client‑focused support.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file personal and corporate tax returns in compliance with applicable laws.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements for clients.
• Conduct research on tax regulations and identify potential tax‑saving opportunities.
• Ensure all filings meet deadlines and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with accountants and senior staff to provide high‑quality client service.
• Maintain accurate records in tax and accounting software.

Required profile

• Proven experience in tax preparation and solid understanding of tax law.
• Experience reviewing and preparing financial statements.
• Strong knowledge of finance and tax principles.
• Detail‑oriented with ability to meet strict deadlines.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• CPA designation or progress toward certification is an asset.
