Regulatory Compliance & Health Quality Officer

About the role

Seabird Island is looking for a Regulatory Compliance & Health Quality Officer to lead governance, quality and accountability across its health programs. Reporting to the Manager, Policy and Governance Structures, the role ensures alignment with legislation, accreditation standards and culturally safe practices while supporting occupational health and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Lead health quality, clinical governance and regulatory compliance for all health programs.
• Develop, maintain and monitor quality improvement systems, clinical standards, policies and procedures.
• Conduct audits, track quality indicators and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Monitor compliance with legislation, funding agreements, internal policies and governance requirements.
• Prepare compliance reports, risk assessments and recommendations for leadership and Council.
• Partner with the OHS Officer to develop and maintain occupational health and safety policies, training and reporting.
• Track funding agreement deadlines, deliverables and reporting obligations for federal, provincial and Indigenous health authorities.

Required profile

• Experience in regulatory compliance, health quality or clinical governance.
• Knowledge of health legislation, accreditation standards and funding agreement requirements.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills with ability to conduct audits and risk assessments.
• Ability to work collaboratively with program managers, finance staff and senior leadership.
