Registered Nurse – Emergency (Full‑Time)

About the role

The Emergency Department at our Wiarton facility is seeking a full‑time Registered Nurse to deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care. Reporting to the site Manager, you will support health promotion, assessment, treatment and rehabilitation for a diverse emergency population.

Key responsibilities

• Promote health and assess patients in the emergency setting.
• Provide supportive, preventative, therapeutic, palliative and rehabilitative care.
• Escort patients via ambulance services when required.
• Flexibly cover all shifts and adapt to unit, staff and patient needs.
• Collaborate with the team to drive continuous quality improvement.

Required profile

• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (or eligibility).
• Recent satisfactory performance and attendance records.
• Commitment to Brightshores ‘CARE’ behaviours and ‘LEAD’ competencies.
• Two years recent emergency nursing experience.
• Willingness to work on Medical/Surgical units as needed.

• Professional Adult Life Support (PAL)
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
• Canadian Triage and Acuity Scale (CTAS)
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) or equivalent
• Emergency Nursing Certificate
• Physical Assessment Course
