About the role
We are looking for a compassionate Registered Care Aide to join our team in Richmond, BC. This full‑time permanent position involves supporting patients with daily activities, ensuring a safe and clean environment, and assisting clinical staff with routine tasks. You will work closely with nursing staff to deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care.
Key responsibilities
- Accompany patients on outdoor recreational activities and assist with mobility.
- Supply and empty bed pans, weigh, lift, turn and position patients.
- Make beds, maintain patient rooms, and clean, sterilize, set up and assemble medical equipment.
- Assist with maintenance and repair of medical equipment.
- Deliver messages, reports, requisitions and specimens between departments.
- Prepare patients for surgery by washing, shaving and sterilizing operative areas.
Required profile
- College or CEGEP diploma (1‑2 year program) in a related field.
- 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a care setting.
- First Aid Certificate and Nursing Aide Certificate.
