Regional Operations Supervisor - Sudbury

About the role

Manitoulin Transport, which operates one of the most extensive transportation networks in North America, is looking for an Operations Supervisor in Sudbury. Reporting to the Regional Manager and working directly with the local Terminal Manager, the supervisor supports day-to-day terminal operations, maintains service standards and operational profitability, and acts as the main point of contact for the terminal when the Terminal Manager is absent.

Key responsibilities

• Scheduling: oversee terminal pickups, deliveries and service maintenance for owned assets
• Operations coordination: manage equipment and driver availability and keep drivers, customers and central dispatch informed
• Supervision: lead drivers and dock staff so performance and presentation standards are met
• Performance: ensure all operational tasks meet company and legal standards

Required profile

• Class 1/AZ or Class 5/DZ licence preferred
• Ability to travel to different locations and learn new areas quickly
• Knowledge of the freight industry, equipment and driver work environments
• Comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced environment
