Recreation Delivery Clerk (Temporary Full‑Time)

About the role

The Recreation Delivery Clerk supports food services at municipally‑operated arena and golf facilities. Working under the Supervisor of Food Operations, the clerk ensures equipment cleanliness, inventory accuracy, and smooth product distribution while providing cash‑handling support for part‑time staff.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and maintain hot and cold beverage dispensers, food preparation equipment, and related concession equipment during non‑peak hours.
• Prepare and monitor equipment maintenance schedules for assigned concession sites.
• Distribute products to arena and golf locations weekly, loading and unloading a fleet vehicle.
• Conduct inventory counts, generate reports, manage stock rotation, and reconcile wastage.
• Handle cash‑out from part‑time staff, balance daily/monthly revenue, prepare bank deposits and financial reports.
• Provide food‑service operating procedure training, including opening/closing, customer service, and point‑of‑sale usage.
• Maintain cleanliness of workspaces, secure the area when leaving, and follow health and safety legislation.

Required profile

• Previous food‑service experience, preferably in a golf or arena environment.
• Valid Class "G" driver’s licence with a clear abstract.
• Working knowledge of inventory controls, wastage management and stock rotation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and experience using point‑of‑sale or inventory software (e.g., Xplor, Golf Software).
• Cash‑handling and balancing experience.
• Current Food Handler’s Certificate and Standard First Aid with CPR Level C certification.
• Ability to lift and move cases up to 30 lb and work rotating shifts, including evenings and weekends.
