Recovery Support Worker – Men's Addiction Program

About the role
We are looking for compassionate individuals to join our men’s addiction recovery program in Chilliwack. As a Recovery Support Worker you will guide participants through the Genesis Process, a faith‑based model, while helping maintain a safe, structured and grace‑filled environment. The position is casual with variable shifts, including evenings, overnights, weekends and holidays.
Key responsibilities
- Support life‑skills development and lead structured activities.
- Provide emotional support and intervene during crises.
- Promote a safe, encouraging recovery environment.
- Collaborate with the team and keep accurate documentation.
- Assist in facilitating group sessions.
Required profile
- Training or experience in addiction recovery, counselling or social services (preferred).
- Understanding of trauma‑informed and harm‑reduction approaches.
- Strong communication and problem‑solving abilities.
- Vulnerable sector Criminal Record Check (required).
- First Aid/CPR certification (or obtainable within 30 days).
- Commitment to Ruth & Naomi’s Christian values and willingness to sign a statement of faith.
