Receptionist – Dental Practice

About the role
We are looking for a friendly and organised Receptionist to be the first point of contact for patients at our dental practice in Bolton. You will help create a welcoming environment, support the clinical team and ensure smooth day‑to‑day operations.
Key responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly in person and over the phone, answering enquiries and providing information.
- Manage the appointment diary, schedule bookings, cancellations and rescheduling.
- Maintain a tidy, professional reception area and handle patient flow to the clinical rooms.
- Process payments, explain private and NHS service options and support patients through administrative steps.
- Keep patient records accurate, handle confidential information and assist with general office administration.
- Resolve patient concerns or complaints with empathy and professionalism.
Required profile
- Previous experience in a customer‑facing role, preferably in a healthcare or dental setting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Confident use of IT systems for booking and record keeping.
- Proactive, flexible and able to support the team wherever needed.
- Professional, empathetic and passionate about delivering high‑quality service.
