Purchasing Coordinator

About the role

Taiga Motors is seeking a detail‑oriented Purchasing Coordinator to support the procurement of goods for its electric vehicle production. You will manage purchase orders, coordinate with vendors, and ensure timely delivery of materials to keep manufacturing on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Create, place, and track purchase orders for direct and indirect goods, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Collaborate with supply chain and engineering teams to align ordering with production needs.
• Liaise with suppliers to secure on‑time delivery, resolve pricing, quality, or delivery issues, and maintain strong vendor relationships.
• Identify and implement process improvements for cost efficiency and operational effectiveness.
• Provide necessary information to Accounts Payable for smooth invoice processing and resolve any discrepancies.
• Generate regular procurement status reports and address blockers in order placement or delivery.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply‑chain coordination, preferably in manufacturing or automotive.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills for managing local and international vendors.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and timeline‑management abilities.
• High attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP software.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
