Property Accountant

About the role
UMC Financial Management Inc. is seeking a diligent Property Accountant to join its Edmonton office. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records for property management activities and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare financial statements, trial balances, and various accounting reports.
- Maintain general ledgers, post journal entries, and reconcile accounts.
- Manage accounts payable, calculate fixed assets, depreciation, and payroll cheques.
- Analyze financial documents, ensure internal controls, and support audit processes.
- Utilize both manual and computerized bookkeeping systems to balance accounts.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably within property management or financial services.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation.
- Clear criminal record and credit check as required.
