Accounting Technician – Private Accounting Firm

About the role

The firm is seeking an Accounting Technician to support its clients with comprehensive financial and tax services. You will work in a private‑sector accounting environment, preparing reports, ensuring compliance, and providing expert advice.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare statistical, financial and accounting reports, including tax returns.
• Review financial services and institutions to ensure compliance with legislation and regulations.
• Provide financial, business and tax advice to clients and answer written and oral inquiries.
• Maintain filing and record systems, coordinate work activities to meet project deadlines and budgets.

Required profile

• Accurate and organized with strong judgement.
• Client‑focused, dependable and adaptable team player.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software (Caseware/Caseview, QuickBooks, Simply Accounting, TaxPrep).
• Advanced MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook and overall MS Office suite.
• Experience using Windows operating system.
