Project Superintendent

About the role

EBC is seeking a Project Superintendent to lead on‑site activities for the Ladore Project in Campbell River, British Columbia. This night‑shift position (starting at 5:30 p.m.) offers the chance to work on major infrastructure projects alongside a team of engineers and specialists.

Key responsibilities

• Provide leadership and foster effective, harmonious relationships with on‑site staff.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of contract documents, drawings, specifications, and subcontract agreements.
• Assist the Project Manager in developing and updating the project schedule and construction program.
• Plan and review quality control, safety, environmental procedures, staging plans, equipment, and manpower.
• Coordinate, direct, and monitor subcontractors, suppliers, and internal crews, including inspections with the Field Engineer/Coordinator.
• Lead weekly safety and coordination meetings with all parties.
• Prepare daily work reports and manage labour and material tracking.
• Review and approve time cards, payment requests, material vouchers, and invoices.
• Maintain communication with subcontractors, consultants, clients, and the public.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of construction supervision experience on heavy civil projects.
• Demonstrated experience with earthworks and concrete structures.
• Proven ability in concrete work, forming, and drilling operations.
• Strong management, negotiation, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent time‑management and prioritisation abilities.
• Familiarity with office management systems and administrative procedures.
