Carpenter – Construction & Renovation

About the role

We are seeking a skilled carpenter to join our team in Calgary. The role involves working on a variety of construction and renovation projects across residential, industrial and institutional settings.

Key responsibilities

• Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements.
• Prepare layouts in conformance with building codes using measuring tools.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials.
• Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems.
• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware.
• Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in various settings.

Required profile

• Accurate and reliable with strong interpersonal skills.
• Team player capable of working in noisy, dusty environments.
• Physically able to bend, crouch, kneel, stand, walk and lift heavy loads.
