About the role
We are seeking a skilled carpenter to join our team in Calgary. The role involves working on a variety of construction and renovation projects across residential, industrial and institutional settings.
Key responsibilities
- Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements.
- Prepare layouts in conformance with building codes using measuring tools.
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials.
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems.
- Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware.
- Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in various settings.
Required profile
- Accurate and reliable with strong interpersonal skills.
- Team player capable of working in noisy, dusty environments.
- Physically able to bend, crouch, kneel, stand, walk and lift heavy loads.
