Project Coordinator (Mining & Infrastructure)

About the role

JDS Energy & Mining is looking for a motivated Project Coordinator to support the planning, execution, and delivery of mining and infrastructure projects at an active mine site. Working closely with Project Managers, Construction Managers, engineers, contractors and operations personnel, you will help ensure that project activities are coordinated safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Assist Project and Construction Managers in monitoring scope, schedule, budget and performance.
• Coordinate daily field activities among contractors, consultants, operations staff and stakeholders.
• Track progress, prepare updates on schedule, cost, risks and milestones.
• Support development and maintenance of project schedules, work plans and execution strategies.
• Review drawings, specifications and work packages to aid execution.
• Help manage contractors, including progress tracking and performance monitoring.
• Coordinate procurement activities such as material deliveries and equipment requirements.
• Participate in site inspections, quality verification and risk assessments.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation (minutes, action logs, reports, RFIs, submittals, change records).
• Assist with cost tracking, forecasting, budgeting and project close‑out activities.

Required profile

• Civil Engineering background with experience in mining, heavy civil construction, infrastructure or industrial projects.
• Strong organisational, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work effectively on a live mine site and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
