Project Coordinator

About the role

FCC Canada is looking for a Project Coordinator to support the civil‑works components of the Scarborough Subway Extension (SSE‑SRS) project. You will work closely with the client, design team, subcontractors and other stakeholders to ensure the project progresses on schedule, within budget and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical and construction expertise for civil works such as piling, excavation, dewatering, utilities, concrete and restoration.
• Understand client drivers and propose value‑engineering solutions to improve schedule, functionality and cost.
• Coordinate with the client on construction status, risk management, methodology explanations and stakeholder communication.
• Work with the design team to review drawings, give constructability input, keep design on track and resolve compliance or quality issues.
• Collaborate with subcontractors to develop schedules, obtain estimates, define scopes, create construction plans, inspect works for quality and manage on‑site conflicts.
• Engage with external stakeholders to secure agreements, permits, approvals and additional project information.
• Maintain cost reports, inventory records and other project documentation.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in coordinating civil construction projects.
• Strong understanding of client requirements and ability to deliver value‑engineering proposals.
• Proven ability to manage risks, communicate effectively with multiple parties and handle stakeholder relationships.
• Experience reviewing design documents and providing constructability feedback.
• Capability to work with subcontractors on scheduling, scope definition and quality inspection.
