Project Coordinator – Civil Construction

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Project Coordinator to support the planning, coordination, and execution of civil construction projects. The role blends office‑based tasks with regular site visits, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager in creating schedules, work plans, and allocating resources.
• Coordinate information flow between architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Prepare progress reports, meeting minutes, and maintain project documentation (RFIs, submittals, change orders, inspection reports).
• Review drawings, specifications, BOQs, and technical documents for accuracy and constructability.
• Support quantity take‑offs, cost estimates, and material submittals.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, inspections, and safety compliance.
• Facilitate communication among subcontractors, consultants, and internal teams.
• Assist in sourcing materials, obtaining quotations, and tracking inventory.

Required profile

• Post‑secondary education or training in civil engineering, construction management, or related discipline, or equivalent on‑the‑job training.
• Minimum 3 years of construction experience in a similar coordination role.
• Solid knowledge of construction equipment, techniques, drawings, and specifications.
• Ability to apply basic engineering and problem‑solving techniques.
• Understanding of construction means, methods, and sequencing.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Project.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience using PDF tools for document handling.
• Experience with quantity take‑offs and cost estimating.
• Ability to develop and maintain construction schedules.
