Product Support Analyst - Mobile Mapping & Positioning

About the role

Trimble Applanix, a Trimble company founded in 2003 on defence and aerospace expertise, is hiring a Product Support Analyst in Richmond Hill, Ontario. The role bridges customer operations with advanced positioning and mapping technology, acting as a trusted technical advisor across global projects. It involves hands-on troubleshooting, client training and field product support.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support and advice to customers, sales representatives and product managers on applications, product performance, installation and other critical topics.
• Respond to customer inquiries and help resolve complex problems during project installation phases.
• Take part in technical training of staff and clients on company products.
• Deliver field product support: operations support, installation of new systems, hardware and software training, problem solving, product trial and development support, sales demonstrations and business trips.
• Occasionally join product technical reviews, impact assessments of new releases and reviews of competitive activity, recommending enhancements to engineering and sales staff.
• Prepare documentation on modifications, troubleshooting procedures and problem resolutions.
• Maintain a quality customer database.

Required profile

• University degree in Geomatics, Geodesy, Surveying, Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing, Navigation, GIS, Geography or a related field.
• Knowledge and experience in Mobile Mapping, Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing.
• Ability to explain complex technical facts clearly, with excellent problem-solving, analytical, interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.
• Willingness to travel less than 10% of the time for training, trials and customer support.
• Ability to handle stressful situations, work independently and in a team.

Required skills

• Bonus points for strong working knowledge of GNSS/IMU integration and technology.
