Procurement Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced bilingual Procurement Manager to lead procurement activities for a major facility in Montreal. The role translates procurement strategy into measurable results, strengthens supplier partnerships, improves cost performance and supports operational growth.

Key responsibilities

• Execute procurement strategies in partnership with North American Category Managers.
• Manage sourcing and procurement of goods and services that support plant operations.
• Lead supplier sourcing, negotiations, onboarding, and contract implementation.
• Ensure supplier agreements comply with company standards and procurement policies.
• Build strong relationships with plant leadership and cross‑functional stakeholders to understand operational priorities.
• Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Identify cost‑reduction and spend‑optimization opportunities using benchmarking, cost modelling, eSourcing tools and market analysis.
• Track procurement KPIs, report savings and present results to operational and executive leadership.
• Support risk reduction and promote best practices across the procurement function.
• Champion health, safety and environmental standards.

Required profile

• University degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of procurement experience, including strategic sourcing and category management.
• Fully bilingual in French and English with strong negotiation skills.
• Proven ability to work effectively with cross‑functional technical and operational teams.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication, organization and time‑management skills.
• Experience in mining, manufacturing or heavy‑industrial sector is considered an asset.
