Procurement Consultant – Indirect Spend

About the role

CIBC is seeking a Procurement Consultant to lead end‑to‑end procurement activities for indirect spend across multiple business lines, including Commercial Banking, Wealth Management, Capital Markets and more. You will act as a trusted advisor, shaping sourcing strategies and ensuring compliance with risk and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide sourcing support and advise internal clients on procurement approaches.
• Develop, negotiate, execute and implement low to moderate complexity contracts.
• Conduct supplier selection processes such as RFPs and evaluate proposals.
• Collaborate with legal resources to draft commercial terms and contract content.
• Maintain supplier risk governance and ensure adherence to CIBC policies.

Required profile

• Experience managing procurement activities, preferably in a financial services environment.
• Strong client engagement and relationship‑building skills.
• Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into actionable sourcing solutions.
• Knowledge of supplier risk management and governance frameworks.
