Procurement and Purchasing Advisor

About the role

The Procurement and Purchasing Advisor supports Desjardins by finalising contractual agreements with partners for the purchase and rental of goods and services. You will act as a strategic partner, advising internal clients and external providers on projects that improve standards, policies and operational performance.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse client needs, diagnose issues and define target outcomes.
• Conduct specialised analyses, prepare studies, write reports and make recommendations.
• Monitor operational performance, including external provider performance.
• Develop, enforce, update and improve policies, processes, standards and models supporting procurement initiatives.
• Evaluate results, benefits and service quality, and issue cost‑cutting and performance‑improvement recommendations.
• Represent the procurement unit before committees and liaise with external partners to establish business relationships.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Minimum of four years of relevant procurement or purchasing experience.
• Knowledge of French (required) and intermediate‑advanced English.
• Action‑oriented mindset with strong business insight and customer focus.
• Ability to work in ambiguous environments and collaborate across functions.
