Process Operator – Canola Refinery

About the role

Louis Dreyfus Company is seeking motivated Process Operators to join its canola crushing and processing facility in Yorkton. You will work in a fast‑paced, continuous‑operation environment, ensuring safe and efficient production of high‑quality agricultural products.

Key responsibilities

• Operate processing equipment and various pieces of plant manufacturing equipment (PME).
• Adhere to company safety policies and food‑safety regulations.
• Monitor, log, and report process data and any deficiencies.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and process issues throughout the facility.
• Perform housekeeping duties and maintain a clean work area.
• Conduct in‑process quality checks using sampling methods.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in an industrial setting.
• Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays (approximately 200 hours over 5 weeks).
• Ability to work at heights, climb ladders, and lift 50 lb or more.
• Capability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, good oral and written communication, and basic numerical skills.
• Self‑motivated, organized, safety‑focused, and passionate about the agriculture industry.
